NEW VISUAL: CAPTAIN CUTS RELEASE “LOVE LIKE WE USED TO” VIDEO

giphy2Multi-platinum songwriting, production and remix trio Captain Cuts release their debut single ‘Love Like We Used To’ featuring Nateur.

After penning and/or producing major tracks for Tove Lo, Halsey and Bebe Rexha, Captain Cuts – Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon and Ryan Rabin – made ‘Love Like We Used To’ to mark their transition from behind-the-scenes weapons into spotlight artists in their own right.

It was just a matter of time following their genre mashing hit mixtape ‘If You’re Listening It’s Never Too Late’ – artfully blending iconic 90s/00s emo and rock staples from Panic! At The Disco, Blink-182 and Paramore with current pop hits from Fetty Wap, Selena Gomez, and Drake. The runaway viral nature of its underground success had critics such as NOISEY, Rolling Stone, SPIN and Billboard quick to crown them the hot new act, gaining legions of new fans addicted to their emo/ trap formula.

giphy3L.A. Reid heard ‘Love Like We Used To’ and personally signed them as artists. They’re now released by Black Butter Records here in the UK, who unearthed the likes of Jessie Ware, Rudimental and Jess Glynne.

Upbeat, undeniable and spilling over with the kind of fun you’d expect from a trio that not only have written for the biggest names in pop but also put on some of the best-loved parties in New York in their spare time in ‘Emo Nite’, ‘Love Like We Used To’ blends typically energetic, disco-punk production with an emotive, urgent vocal from singer/songwriter Nateur and points them firmly in the direction of further international heat.
