“There is something entirely unique about Levy’s vocals and the creations she inhabits.” –Cougar Microbes
“An overflowing amalgamation of sonic bliss.” -WONDERLAND
Canadian-born and raised in Tel Aviv, singer/songwriter and producer Dorine Levy first broke into tastemaker consciousness in 2013 with her debut release “Lenyrose” – her intelligent, strikingly melodic take on indie pop making her an immediate hit with the likes of WONDERLAND, SHORTLIST, MTV and INDIE SHUFFLE as well as seeing her receive plays on BBC 6 Music and a flurry of performances at SXSW, CMJ and Culture Collide in New York.
Following on from her cult opener ‘Crazier’ Dorine now continues with the second installment from her new EP ‘Mima’. ‘Feelings’ conjures a desolate, shifting intensity, but always in-keeping with her signature, polished pop vein. Like something from an Amoldovar soundtrack, ‘Feelings’ is a pensive, sprawling rollercoaster of a release. Speaking on the track, Dorine states: “Feelings is a song I wrote while visiting my hometown Montreal, last year. It’s about mind and soul loops: I was sure I had moved on from something but reality showed me differently. it felt like I was starting all over again but that’s the loop’s illusion; we never stay on the same spot, only our thoughts do. “
